Plus 22% VAT, then DHL charge of £15 plus import charge, so it is not just a tenner

Why would they add VAT and an import charge between NL and Italy?

Yep. Nice and simple in the EU.

Primarily, If you buy something from the UK it should be VAT exempt if going overseas to an EU country

The buyer then pays the VAT at country rate - 22% in Italy 23% Ireland - 25% Sweden as example

Then the DHL admin fee of £15

Then import tax - if applicable or set out by the world trade authority, it is not the country that set it.

Don't shoot the messenger,  This is what you pay if you buy from the UK in to an EU country.

I am just putting in the cost of a reamer from the UK, nothing moe.

Buying EU to EU makes sense,

£200 reamer, then add 44.00, then 15 plus import makes a no brainer

BREXIT eat your heart out !!!

No they will not as it is a shipment within the EU. So now customs charges or VAT as that was already paid for.

Just contact me via PM. If you want I can buy one and post it to you.

If he bought AC’s reamer it would be from the U.K. - that is what Richmondclassics is trying to show.

I would not get too hung up about reaming the bush. It is not like there is any spinning involved in this application. Even at maximum suspension travel it is only a few decrees of rotation. Fit both the roller bearing and the bush then dry fit the pin, it may well fit without needing any machining, the last few sets I fitted needed nothing. If you do need to "fit" the pin to the bush use a fine abrasive flap wheel in a drill. Go for something like a 19mm diameter  400 grit to polish out the bush.

Hand reaming requires some skill and knowledge in use. If you are going down the road of reaming use an adjustable type and  only take off the minimum with each pass. Keep turning the reamer clockwise. never reverse, until it passes right through the bush. Use a good quality cutting oil to assist the cutting operation. Cutting too much off at a time or not passing the reamer through with a constant force can lead to a "wavy" finish to the surface and a ruined bush.

Guys, let's not let this get political please.

Let the buyer make his own enquires, I think he's been made well aware of some of the possible pitfalls and costs, if there are any and I'm not getting in to that !

Since brexit I have bought a lot of things from the uk for my car and other stuff.
unfortunately when it arrives in italy I have to pay 23% tax import charges
but the uk vat was exempt
also some couriers charge as well when it arrives.
I'll just have to live with it
seeing the majority of stuff for my mini comes from the uk
