Yes, they are apparently. Spider informed me on this, and I'm ordering it. Let's see if I end up using the entire pipe or just the fitting.

Hazy memory here but werent they sold as a conversion kit at one time?Steve..

Kind of, the pipe kit will allow to fit a yellow band master in place of one of the earlier ones, where the front & rear circuit connections need swapping over, but it'll replace the original pipes if you already have a GMC227 Fitted.

Even at £15 it's an expensive way to buy a brake union

Yep, I agree but after all this brake debacle I'll gladly pay an extra £10 if it'll save me time in collecting parts.....

After almost 4 hours in total, I finally slayed the beast and got the brake pedal clevis pin out! In the end I had to get a small flexible Dremel extension and split the clevis pin, thus cutting the split pin in half, to be able to remove the prong bits of the pin. The other end was on there pretty good and wouldn't budge, so with different Dremel bits I managed to grind it down flat. Then the clevis pin itself was really stuck in the brake pedal hole, not the master cylinder "fork". I drenched it in penetrating oil, rust remover, WD40 for a couple of days, but nothing seemed to loosen it. Then me and my reptile brain retreated to the high tech solution of, chisel, crowbar, worn screwdriver and sledgehammer. About 30 minutes later a battle battered master cylinder was out. Although I must say that I was NOT at alla please when I after getting the clevis pin out, discovered that I also need to remove the clutch master cylinder in order to get the brake one out! But, since this obviously was done more recently, it took about 1 minute getting that clevis pin out.

Now I'm just waiting for customs in Gothenburg to handle my minispares order with the new yellow tag cylinder, then HOPEFULLY I'll get a chance to try out everything on my now very rebuilt mini!

Thanks again for all the help!

Well, lets be honest. Even though I appriciate the cheers, It's still just me for hours not succeeding with getting a small piece of metal through a similar sized hole. But if anyone finds themselves in the same situation my tip is to save a few houes of headache and just bring out the heavy machinery straight away. Proven and works. Now I sincerely hope that everything will work as it should with the new master cylinder!

Check the fit of your new pin in the pedal - it might be a bit loose now!
