Free Radiator
I bought it from P&L Mini's in Rotherham in 2020
Their product ref : UGRD172
I bought it for my 93 L reg SPI Cooper
It's described as, "Radiator Genuine Type With Sensor Hole In Bottom"
I fitted it in 2020 and I'm still working on the car now (I'm not quick!), so it's never been in a driven car
It's had coolant in it
I struggled to get the push-in sensor to stay in place with the bayonet-style plastic clip
I couldn't get it to hold water
I asked for advice on here
I got some helpful hints, including comments like, "I've fitted dozens of them and never had a problem", but I just lost confidence in it
I've since taken it out and bought a screw-in sensor radiator from Mini Spares
The giveaway radiator cost me c£70
It's been in and out of the car
It's a tight fit as I'm sure you know
There are a few surface scuffs as a consequence
It is watertight
Apart from where I failed to get the sensor to fit
That's why it's free
I hope someone can make use of it
It's free to collect (Warrington)
Or you'd have to cover the postage / courier costs, which I'm guessing will be in the region of £15 (within the UK)
