Cooper S rims do fit over drums without a spacer... My van has been running them for years.

You have got that very wrong I`m afraid as the 4.5" s wheel absolutely will not fit on the rear of a mini with standard drums  http://www.minispare...|Back to search

Just for clarity I have the images to prove it and as you can clearly see the wheel won`t even turn.

That`s my daily mk3 with loads of oil and grease be no rust :)

No you don’t need “spacers” , you get Cooper S style drums with a built in spacer + the longer wheel studs

That would be for front and back?

They Whitewall tyres Steve ?. Going back to square one. I presume the stock standard wheel for a 72 mini would be 3.5 inch width? What would the ET be?. I am just looking for some nice classic cream wheels with a centre hub cap. I was thinking 4.5 but I really don't want to start changing wheel studs and drums .

Just for clarity that`s the front, the spacing issue is on the back wheels

Yes you’d need front and back if you want to run the Cooper S offset wheels (+30/40mm)

A bit of a tangent... but why do the 10 inch Jbw Cosmics state that they don't fit with disk brakes?

They only fit over 7.5 inc 4 pot, not 7.9 or 8.

EESSH.. I really like them, but I need to do something about these drums.

Any recommendations for wheels like those?
