No problem gaspen! Really appreciate the help!
It should get me close enough even with the windscreen in. Just need it from the panel where the sun visors are bolted to the roof to the dash rail top

Here we go :

Measured outside at the outer edge of the rubber : 425mm

(The bodywork catalog suggest 435 mm here but the windscreen still fits  )

Inside :

Sorry for late answer. My car does not have upper dash pad, but I shot some picture for you.

Thank you gaspen
Definitely looks like my dash rail is too high

If I could trouble you once more, and would it be possible to measure the gap between the rail and the top of the window (centre, and to the right and left)?

No problem gaspen! Really appreciate the help!
It should get me close enough even with the windscreen in. Just need it from the panel where the sun visors are bolted to the roof to the dash rail top

Did you "adjusted" the aperture or fitted the glass as it was ?

I removed the welds from the upper dash rail and pushed it down so it met the measurement as per your photos. Everything looks a lot better than it was
