Hi all
Been studying and working hard so not done much on my car for a year or two. Head off, decoke, new ignition, new fuel pump, fuel lines etc as 2 years of me ignoring it hasn’t helped anything plus the rust/damp fairy has been busy. Brake cylinder and servo still to do then actually get it running.
While tinkering with all that, I got really far too annoyed about the floating in the air heater valve. I found a Norris minor thread where they used an electrically operated fiesta servo valve. I bought one, made up a bracket and replumbed the heater pipe work through inlet manifold. Yea I know, I’ll definitely lose 0.3hp on my stage 1 998, on hot days but I’ll manage. I have another faster car and my mini is just for fun so not bothered. Looks neater and tidier plus no floating hoses or valve in the way when I’m doing other jobs.
