20W50 Synthetic Oil?

With regards to motorcycle gearboxes, they don’t use syncro and also (most) use wet clutches, so their oil requirements are different from a Mini. Fully synthetic oils are used in Miglias, but they’re using dog boxes. The benefits of fully synth compared to Castrol R in a race environment were marked ime.

 

For the road, I’d stick with VR1.

I ran my engine in with the Minispares oil and then switched to semi-synthetic Millers CTV 20W/50 which is formulated with Minis in mind.  Seems good so far.  British company too.
