My hand was forced this morning. Went to go to work. First really icy morning and battery flat in the van. Jumped it. Went to halfords and bought a new battery for the van a 540cca for the mini and a booster pack.
Their system showed 330cca as the standard mini option

I've known their "system" to show the wrong battery entirely for a couple of cars I've owned .. one had the terminals on the wrong side (turning it around meant the terminals would be at the wrong end!) and the other the battery was too big for the battery box!!

The best/worst one were the sidelights for my Alfa 156. They were H6W halogen bulbs with offset pins .. expensive little beggars but lasted ages .. (and a nightmare to fit often resulting loss of blood &/or in a sidelight bulb floating around in the headlamp unit!!)

Halfords suggestion? W5W push-fit ...

When I needed a 75 AH battery for my old Land-Rover Discovery, Halfords offered me a 59 AH one which they said was the correct one for £115.
I bought the correct one from Tayna Batteries for £75 delivered. It arrived the next day and is a genuine Bosche one.
Tayna Batteries - highly recommended.

I changed the starter and it goes . Still sounds slightly laboured though. Pretty sure the earthing is good. New battery cable anyway. Older cable between the solenoid and the starter and I have some cable to change there. How about the solenoid earth. If it switches thats good enough right?
