Hi
what do you guys recommend for a turbo nodiz or megajolt?
Iv have bought a swiftune electronic unit 59D that I am guessing is no good for a turbo build?

The Metty Turbo had an electronic 59, but so did the bog standard 1300 Maestro. Dizzies can be modified to limit the maximum advance, but a programmable system with a MAP sensor will be superior. A lot easier to achieve now with COP & coilpacks with built in amplifiers- see Sparkduino

I have a megajolt but it’s an old platform now. That’s good because it’s well understood with lots of example maps, but bad as it lacks features newer systems have (mostly a lack of inputs/outputs, CAN etc..).

Nodiz is newer, has more features than megajolt but lacks the community understanding. It also has some weird history that left me a little cold to the product.

If I was starting our project now I’d likely look at Speeduino. It seems to be a well supported product and even if you only start with ignition-only, it leaves you with the option to fit injection later on. Caveat - I’ve not used it, only watched videos and read about it.

TBF I would go and talk to the guys that will be setting it up on the rollers. Some will not touch some set ups.

Yeh thats why I asked about nodiz as I don't want to get a system that some places cannot tune.

I am in West london.

Find a rolling road and go and talk to them. Unless you feel happy using the pc to set it up.

Beats me why any operator wouldn't be happy to tell you how much advance to add where & let you tap it in if you turned up with your own laptop.

A lambda gauge is a worthwhile investment anyway, but with an accelerometer app on your phone and safe stretch of tarmac you could achieve much of what a rolling road does.
