Someone has offered me a ticket to L 2 B, couple of questions:

Is the ticket tied to a registration number?

Can I just use it to enter Madeira drive with my car, I don’t need to go to Cheam first?

 

Quote L2B from website:-

"Your ticket has two perforated sections. The L section should be signed in front of the Marshals at the booking-in desk at Cheam Recreation Ground. The Marshal will remove the L section and issue you with a Run Pack (one Run Pack per applicant). The B section of the ticket should be removed by Marshals on entry to Madeira Drive, Brighton."

If you go straight to Brighton you won't have your run pack with car plaque, but the B ticket section should get you in to Madeira Drive and then you will have to take your L ticket section to the L2B stand to pick up your run pack when it arrives from Cheam with the club officials, as there are always a few entrants which miss the start booking-in process for various reasons.

I will be going straight to brighton also.
On the website madeira drive doesn't open until 10? Not sure how much that is enforced

You are able to collect the run pack from Brighton after 1pm :)

Ticket booked. 350 mile round trip but at least it should be dryer than IMM in 2019!

Does anyone know what the route is as it leaves south London? I'm aware that someone posted images of the route on the L2B Facebook page, but I'm not on Facebook.

Asking as I'm unable to camp Sat eve and so will have a long drive there on Sun and doubt I'll make the sign on at Cheam rec in time. Looking to join enroute and pick up my run pack after 1pm from Maderia Drv instead.

This is the kind of Mini event I like just 10 minutes walk from home....

Some photos below of the early arrival Minis gathering for camping overnight in a very warm and sunny Cheam Park, the new starting point for the London to Brighton Mini Run tomorrow now that Crystal Palace Park has decided that dirty polluting old cars don't fit in with their new 'green agenda'.....their loss and Surreys gain!

Some photos of the Minis/MINIs leaving the start at Cheam early this morning, the first cars left around 8am and the last Mini in the queue left Cheam about 9.45am...before the rain arrived.
