Anyone else having problems with Minispares delivery?

I ordered a couple of small parts from them on 29th. Their carrier (Evri ) emailed that they were expecting it on 31st, but didn't collect it until 6th. It's now the 8th and I'm still waiting.

I wasn't aware they'd started using Evri (Hermes), that will lead to problems as they're a terrible company!  My order placed Wednesday has been delivered by DHL today.

Unfortunately I have had to wait at least 2 weeks for two separate deliveries since they seem to be using evri instead of royal mail, not ideal when you need your parts

Same I waited a week and half from ordering to the parcel finally arriving recently. But nowhere on the website when ordering does in mention that they were using MYherpes, and the prices seem to suggest Royal mail.

Witch if I’d had known beforehand I would NEVER have placed the order in the first place and won’t be ordering again in future. As my local MYherpes delivery driver insists on trying to park as close as possible (on footpath/driveway) winding down their window and then throwing the parcel over a 5 foot gate (which is normally unlocked if expecting deliveries) and then speeding off.

Royal mail and every other courier take the time to park up out the front of the property, get out and knock at the front door.

Looks like for orders from MS I will have make a list and wait until there's a justified reason to visit and collect in baulk in person and/or direct purchase if they're at a show. Though that's never ideal.

I can understand they may be looking at other vendors as RM prices have gone through the roof of recent (95p for a 1st class stamp)!
MS could have relayed the change in courier to their customers beforehand though via the website. Then we could all make an informed decision on whether to place the order or not.

Let's hope Simon see's the comments and the company can look to other couriers. Though a drop in revenue further down the line may prompt them to reconsider.

Thanks for the warning. Personally I'd rather have the option of choosing RM or DPD and paying the appropriate price. I won't knowingly use mail order companies that use Hermes or whatever they're called this week. It's a shame that MS have made this decision as the quality of their products is generally very good. Let's hope they have a rethink.

I probably should have added above that there are good and bad delivery drives for all the couriers, it’s just that I try my best to avoid using MYHerpes for the reasons already posted.

But then my local delivery driver insisted on going onto a local Facebook page back at the start of the pandemic in March 2020, dictating to people on what was and wasn’t essential. And that if the individual deemed the parcel was non-essential that they were returning it back to the sender and not delivering it, witch as you can imagine didn’t exactly go down at all well or in their favour.

You didnt have to explain pal, maybe I should have elaborated more. The Hermes near me is a woman in an estate car and shes fab. Im sure the day she stops the service will be terrible.

I'd forgotten about this thread that I have also commented on and last Mon ordered some very small parts from MS...delivery via Evri! Ugh! Not yet arrived it has been taken to the wrong Evri depot... apparently it's on its way. Not in a hurry for the items, so no biggie.

Bit then something v strange happened last night. I got a spam text, mobile advised it was spam and popped it directly into its spam box...I looked to see what it was anyway and it reported to be from Evri (it wasn't) and that my expected delivery had a shipping fee on it of of £1.35 with a link to evriredeliveryitemdotcom (didn't enter full URL just incase someone accidentally hits it) and if I didn't pay it now the item was going to be returned to the sender.

I've never had anything delivered by Evri before so surely this can't be a coincidence can it?

Has Evri been hacked via a backdoor and some whatnot is sending these messages out to expecting customers of Evri parcels. Maybe it is just a complete coincidence, but what timing.

I'm getting really hacked ordering from Minispares now since they've started using Evri.

Place an order and haven't a clue when it'll arrive.

Started looking at other suppliers.

Evri (Hermes) are just bloody awful..!!
