For four months now, I've been having problems when I brake hard or abruptly. The car has been rotated 90 degrees twice. When I looked below, I saw that one disc was scored (right hand) and the other wasn't. I've had a 7.5" brake kit that replaces the drum brakes since 2010.
This afternoon, we replaced the discs and pads. Everything is top quality, but although the braking has improved, we noticed that one side brakes more than the other. What could it be? Brake hose, calipers....??

Does the steering pull, or the whole car rotate without the steering pulling?

Also bad form leaving the caliper dangling from the hose.Remove all the pistons and clean/renew seals as needed would be my thoughts.Change hoses at the same time.Steve..

Thanks for your help. No, the steering doesn't pull. Both times the car roted around 90°, it was on a long stretch with a slight downhill slope, at 80km/h, and due to abrupt braking.

Could be a sticking piston / pistons in one calliper. Check the pistons move freely and can be pushed back using a suitable clamp. It could also be a faulty flexible brake hose as they can collapse internally.

One other thing, are the rear brakes working ok, it couldn't be a faulty rear drum grabbing?

If the front brakes grab or fail to grip on one side I've found the steering is pulled one way or the other.  If there is no pull and the car just seems to turn one way, I'd be looking at the rear brakes as slidehammer suggests.

Sorry! I understand you correctly now, and I think I answered incorrectly before. When we went out this afternoon to test drive the car with new discs and pads, when braking hard, the steering wheel veers to one side. It may be necessary to have it realigned.

Thanks, friend! I think the rear is perfect. The brake shoes are aligned correctly, and there are no leaks in the cylinders.

Clear question. Should I restore my original AP calipers (which I'd have to leave to a specialist) or buy MiniSpares' own-production calipers (which I've heard work very well).

Sorry! I understand you correctly now, and I think I answered incorrectly before. When we went out this afternoon to test drive the car with new discs and pads, when braking hard, the steering wheel veers to one side. It may be necessary to have it realigned.

 

This means that one caliper works and the other doesn't. Say for example that the steering wheel pulled to the right, this means that the right caliper works and the left doesn't. If this happens over a long time you can also see it on the rotors: the caliper that works keeps the rotor shiny and clean, the caliper that doesn't work doesn't "clean" the rotor and it becomes rusty/corroded.

If your calipers are aftermarket ones then most likely it is best to replace them. If your calipers are the original ones, then it might be better to use new pistons and seals (unless the caliper bore is corroded/pitted). It is often said that the quality of original calipers is a lot better than aftermarket ones.
