Evening all, I've been on the hunt and need some help so hopefully this is the right place.

My 1989 mini has the offset 3 clock dash without a dashboard but apart from the binnacle it is left open (for lack of a better way of describing it)

I want to keep it open and original but at the moment the "shelf" consists of some cardboard and a bit of carpet, not very useful and it's sagging meaning that you lose bits down the back.

Are there any trim bits to tidy this up? I'm struggling to find decent photos of the proper setup and not sure which bits on minispares would suit the bill.

Any help greatly appreciated, cheers!

Sounds about right, there should be a full width vinyl cardboard thing which hooks behind the door rubber, fits behind the air vent and pokes behind the instruments. There is a similar smaller bit for the drivers side.Stuff still gets wedged behind it and it frankly looks a bit tacky as over the years the internal backing board has cracked. For some unknown reason it is black on one side and red on the other.Steve..

I just went to my local hard ware store and bought some wood and whipped up a liner for it.. never a problem again.

Have seen people use a bit of thin mesh netting though..

Sure both would work well..
