If you want a cup holder, using one of these is the neatest solution I've seen...I bought one last year but haven't got around to hacking it in yet (there's a thread about it somewhere)

I fit a USB charger for phones etc for those long runs....
I was going to use one of those clocks with the usb charger that fits into where the ash tray sits but they seem really expensive and I was told that they aren’t built very well? I don’t know if it’s true and to be honest id like to get peoples opinion on them

I've got them all over my volvo, I used ones like this https://www.amazon.c...v,aps,54&sr=8-6
I just pulled out the usb bit and ditched the rest. mainly because that was the cheapest tidiest looking option I found at the time that didn't light up like a christmas tree, but others are available
it does mean cutting a hole somewhere of course but it's a useful enough thing that you'll never regret putting it in, unless you can fit it where a ciggy lighter used to be, because who even uses those now .. that's what I did on the one in the back side of my centre console for the rear seat users (kids i-pads / nintendo switches)

I have the same set up but just one cig lighter fitting fitted to a plate that's then screwed into the bottom dash rail

Got one in my mini based kit car and it fits and works fine - been in there a year so might not last forever but...?

Also got those cheapo charger sockets, one on the dash (for satnav & dash cam) and one on the centre console for phone charging/misc) - one USB and one cigarette lighter style in each position

I like that little plastic tray that you have on the floor where the gear stick sits , where did you get that ?

Its actually a centre console from a Fiat 500/Fiat 126 - a 20 quid punt on ebay but I had to hack a bit out of it round the handbrake lever (Note: got a better handbrake gaiter since this picture)
The gearlever hole is a really nice fit round the standard rod change gear lever gaiter as you can see (and you don't really see the handbrake part that much between the seats)

I might be copying you mate , just love how clean it looks. Almost as if it was made for the car.

Looks like the price has gone up since I bought mine - but still reasonable at 30quid?

Yeah , I might try going on the owners club and seeing if anyones has got a decent second hand one. EBay prices are a bit mental at times. That’s how I made enemy’s with the hillman imp group when I tried selling some old imp parts I had lying around 😂😰

'That’s how I made enemy’s with the hillman imp group'
Well there's an sentence that I'd never thought I'd ever read!
