Can someone confirm if a steering wheel from a Rover Metro 1994 (would it have been a Rover 100 at this point?) will fit on the steering column of a 1994 mini?

Are the splines the same?

Don't know if you're still wondering about this - I guess not lol - but if you are it does depend whether it's a Rover 100.

1994 was the changeover year between Metro and 100, and one of the changes made was a different steering column to house the SRS system, much like the one the Mini changed to in 1996 with the MPi.

If it's a Metro, then yes it'll fit. If it's a Rover 100, then no, it won't.

Also the bigger question is, why would you want to? 😂

I want to send my standard steering wheel away to be refurbished and have a standard metro type available to use whilst it's away.
