Are these just bolt on straight out of the box, or is there something that needs to be done before bolting on?

They are just bolt on but they altered the ride height on my car so had to adjust the hilos.

I do not see how a damper can alter the ride height? Not saying it didn't but unless the gas pressure was intense or physically it was stuck or out of travel?Steve..

just bolt on, a decent unit. Gaz altered height of mine also by 10mm, car is lowered on adjustaride units and damper is lowered unit. damper is not stressed and pulling car down! so left and all ok!

I put the kybs on my car and it raised it a good 10mm or more as well, at least a fingers width. My stock ones were garbage though so probably weren't acting right. They eventually settled in but it took a while. They still sat higher so hi los went in just to even it out.

Nice.  RS200 isn't it?  My dream car when I was ten - didn't realize it wasn't really a normal road car!

I just put a set on the front and it has raised the car also - have my HILO's at minimum at the mo, hopefully will settle down after some driving.

Anybody have a set on for a while and can tell us anything?

Definitely.  They even made the Metro cool with the 6R4.

It wont affect the ride height it's probably just where you have jacked the car up and not let it settle again, this happens even if you don't change the dampers...

Being a pressurised gas damper rather than oil filled they will add some lift to the suspension. 10mm surprises me, but given the mechanical advantage over the spring due to where each joins the top arm (and more so at the rear) it could be possible.

That takes me back. The company I used to run did a huge amount of design work on the RS200, but we weren't allowed to talk about it back then.

I was offereed a new one for a very low price, but I said the Posche I had then was better! If only!
