What would an Innocenti 1300 Export engine needing a rebuild be worth? A friend has one which has not run for several years and we are not sure what it's worth.

I don't know the full condition of it, so let's assume it is a standard unit needing a full rebuild.

The Inno Export engine is basically a 1300GT block & crank, but with a 510 cam (or equivalent), an 11-stud head, twin Hs2 carbs and a standard 'S' exhaust manifold. Head has 'S' size valves and rocker shaft.

Gearbox has 3.44:1 FDR, but I'm not sure whether the ratios are as the old 'A' or the later standard cars. Gearchange is rod-type, not the remote as the 'S' had.

Basically it's an S spec engine without the special 'S' block & crank. It doesn't have the EN40B crankshaft

Thus its value is the same as an ordinary 1300GT engine in need of a rebuild, say £300 to £400. More if the gearbox is included.
