to be honest it probably is a 3.44 fd already.

you could whip off the diff cover and count the teeth on it.

also make sure you check the speedo drive cogs to ensure your speedo stays accurate.

you could put it in 4th!! mark a point on the wheels and on the crank pulley and push the car with a volunteer for 10 wheel revolitions!!

34 turns of the engine will mean 3.4 diff, 31 means 3.1 diff, etc!!

i've heard good things about the swiftune sw5 cam and i had good results from using a kent 256 cam!! by the way and it'll work fine with your std head!! a good stg 1 kit will help too!! and for gods sake get it setup on the rolling road afterwards!!
