Question: How can I check to identify why my starter relay continues to "pop" causing the car not to start?

- Can I check with multimeter?

- If so what do I check and what should the read out be?

- I was able to bypass the blown starter relay and jump the starter, could that lead to issues with the starter?

Background:

Have a 94 SPi, recently had the engine rebuilt and after driving it a week went to start it up and got nothing.

Purchased new battery and trouble shot to find that the relay pack copper on the board was blown in line with the starter.

Had it soldered over and car started but blew the board again.

I purchased an all new Relay (YWB 10022) but not sure if I want to put it on just for it to blow.

I was able to bypass the relay by jumping the starter
