Hi everyone.

I’ve started a project to build my own clubman inner wings, partly because of the huge cost of genuine items and the lack of a pattern alternative. Also because I don’t want most of the openings in them because I’m planning to run a front radiator and hidden wiring.

Ive done a couple of YouTube videos on my progress. If anyone has any advice or has done anything similar. I’d appreciate the advice.

I made a custom nearside inner wing for my Clubman for exactly the same reason. It's shape lends itself to bend relatively easily into a mirror image of the offside one. I actually used quite a heavy gauge galv sheet that I scranned but would've saved a tonne of heartache if I'd bought the correct gauge of mild steel! I made the vertical section out of one part and the top flat bit that joins to the outer wing out of another bit then butt welded the two together but with hindsight I should've made it all out of the one large sheet then I would've had to put in a small wedge shaped part on the top. There should be a few photos on my build thread "My Fixerupper" regarding that part of the build.
