I thought I'd better post and let the forum know I'm around as advice might be needed.

I bought a snowberry white1968 Cooper S in Sep 2018 as it seemed well priced and I thought I'd hoon around in it until it gave up then restore it. It was a dream I'd cherished since I'd driven minis in my long ago youth. I'd nearly purchased before when prices were more sensible but had walked away muttering about space etc but following a life threatening health issue it was 'right, no pockets in shrouds' etc.

It's taken a long time and my bank balance is looking **** but it is now starting to come together. I'm hoping to be done by March (I'm delayed by the carb rebuild guys who have a 3 month wait list)

Car is looking fantastic and I'm on with refurbishing ancillaries (linkages/electrics/starter motor/heater etc etc)

I've built my own car before (Caterham 7) but the mini is being mainly done by someone who knows what they are doing with me assisting.

I'll post pics if I can. This is he car before starting. Other pics showing the rot are too large so I'll work on reducing them when I get time

Welcome to TMF lots of good advice to be found on here if you ask or search for it.

Also consider joining the Mk1 Forum.....despite the name there is also lots of useful Mk2 info especially for Cooper S.
