Hello,

Took the battery out and noticed a tiny pool of water in my boot, condensation forming on the inside of the boot lid, then I followed the tiny puddle and found my very own swimming pool!

With a now ruined alloy wheel swimming in it... anyone had this, got any ideas?

I dont know if sealing every hole that's meant to be in the boot ie the parcel shelf, seat, and if I replace the rubber seal on the boot would work, or if moisture will always just appear with it being cold on the other side of the metal.

Thanks,

Alex

A swimming pool indicates much more than condensation.

Boot, fuel filler or rear window seals would be the prime suspects. Corrosion of wheel arches is another possibilty.

Dry it out and put some newspaper strips around the wheel well to point you to the direction of the ingress.
