Hi. Have first refusal on a 1974 mini 1000. It’s got quite a few things to consider (and have photos). But suspect it needs wings, scuttle and a-frame doing (they aren’t bubbling but have been filled before - the scuttle and wings are one..) the sills have been replaced and the engine bay looks ok but some liberal use of underseal near the scuttle wing joints. Boot looks scruffy and shows that’s the vehicle was originally blue. Some welded patches under rear seats. Drives ok, few squeaks and a sloppy gear box. It’s done 70k but not done much since the 1980’s. What’s it worth?

It all depends on condition & more importantly IF it is a genuine Mk3 & not a later Mini with a fake identity -riveting a 1970's VIN plate to a Mk4 (or later) Mini does not make it Tax & MOT Exempt.

Check this out before even thinking of offering to buy it-
