"Warrantywise has named the worst brands for reliability based on its own data. Each manufacturer is ranked based on the number of faults, cost of repairs and how long they take to fix, based on over 130,000 policies between 2021-22. Porsche scored the lowest rating of just 35.1 out of 100 ahead of Land Rover. A number of premium brands ranked among the 10 least reliable makers. The data represents only cars that are outside their manufacturer warranties, meaning the minimum age for the sample is three years. The maximum age for cars included in the analysis is 10 years.
All the information is collated from 131,000 vehicle policies with the company in 2021 and 2022.
While the premium German maker took the unwanted crown as the least reliable brand, the highest repair bill for a Porsche encountered in the last two years wasn't the priciest on record. Warrantywise said it had to pay out £10,784.60 to have one customer's Porsche fixed, but that paled in comparison to a Land Rover that racked up a garage receipt of £23,889.53 - that's almost the price of a brand new Volkswagen Golf."

Wow, that’s some achievement to ‘beat’ JLR in the reliability stats.

Would be interesting to see the basis of the claims i.e. what has gone wrong. Suspect most of it will be technology/ electrical?

The Japanese make reliable electronics and the Germans don`t as proved by 8 out of 10 of the least reliable cars were German.

My past experience of Land Rover products is that mechanical issues blow anything electrical into insignificance!

Think about it, if they’re unreliable, the spares are worth more…
