Any rough idea?
Unless you've already checked, the prices for boring and crank grinding have sky rocketed, so expect quite a bill, but with the price of power at the moment you have to expect it.

Yup no problem, I phoned about and got the same costs within a quid or so from several companies,
Crank journals £25.00 each ( this used to be around £8.00 )
Rebores around £25.00 per bore, that's for 1 run of the boring machine ie up to +60 thou ( this used to be £15.00 )
Conrod re-sizing £20.00 each
I've actually gone for a company called Damico who are nearly 100 miles from me but I've used before, they are a great bunch and their work is spot on, they know A series inside out, do a lot of very interesting race work and have their own engine dyno if you want that service. This is the company that SC Components use for all their machine, welding work and dynoing, but don't let that put you off.

If I use them, and post my block and crank to them. How many times will it go back and forth do you know?
I'm not saying to use them, I just gave their name as that is who I use and the prices to expect, personally I would use a company within driving distance. There must be good companies up your end of the world with a good reputation, just ask around, as for visits I would expect 2, one for the initial machine work and a 2nd for the final machining of the block and head to get everything where you want it to be, as I side point I've also asked them to supply all bearings, thrusts and big end bolts as then you have more chance of everything going to plan and everything within tolerance.

Many thanks Shooter. Much appreciated.
