Whilst trouble shooting the fan not coming on, I noticed this wire that has detached from some where.

It is in what seems like a heatproof braided sleeve along some of it's length. Ot comes from the right side of the car, where the spotlight loom comes from.

All plugs and wires appear to be intact but the front fog lights do not work.

Thanks.

I think  you have blown a Hypaline fuse that should be connected to the solenoid. The end of the wire is a fuse cable that melts when overloaded and breaks. There should be some circuits in the car not working.

The alternator hasn't been charging too well..on the end of the wire, there was a part of a crimp left on it. I think the eyelet was left on the alternator terminal.

Along the wire, there does feel like there is a fuse/straight connector within the sheath.

I will take a closer look tomorrow.
Thanks
