Hi
I have the 2 cv joints off the car
(Doing a rebuild)
I've rebuilt and refurf pot joints.
Wondering can you do the same for the cv joints
They are in good condition.

Sure. But I would not pop the bearings (balls) out just soak in a degreaser to get the old CV grease out and then add new. The reason not to remove the balls is they should go back into the same place in the outer and inner.

I refurbished the pot joints
I did take them apart
Also the ball bearings
Degreasd but the balls went back in not the same as they came out
Is that bad
?
All the parts were in good shape

It’s the best you can do now and many of us have done the same. But it is not correct and wear may now happen faster.
