Hi everyone. After some help again and before embarking on a wiring diagnostic fault crusade thought I would ask the question..

My mpi has 4 spots at the front from factory. Today when I took her out I indicated right and the spot lamp flashes twice before the indicator then comes on. Same for left indicator. Then when I press the immobiliser the side lights light up and the front left middle spot lights up. Totally bizarre and come out of nowhere. Any ideas where to begin?

I would say check connections at the starter solenoid had loads of Mpi's having issues with wires corroding and the cheap terminals used just don't seam to last.

Prevent issues but clean any connections that look greeny in colour...

See below the MPI earthing point connectors as identified in the wiring diagrams. In my experience the LH header C550 is particularly vulnerable.

C361 Earth eyelet - radio Behind centre of facia

C556 Earth eyelet 1   RH side of engine compartment

C557 Earth eyelet 2   Luggage compartment LH

C558 Earth eyelet 3   RH side of engine compartment

C559 Earth eyelet 4   Luggage compartment LH

C560 Earth eyelet 5   RH side of engine compartment

C561 Earth eyelet 6   Beneath rear seat

C550 Earth header 1 LH side of engine compartment
