Dogs have taste and seem to appreciate the whine, their owners just stare at you expecting that your little 'clown' car is about to disintegrate!

All my straight cut endowed minis in the past have received negative comments when people not in the know get in and you set off with comments such as "is this thing shagged" or "whats that noise, does it need a new gearbox" etc etc
Then you floor it through the gears 😊

Straight cut gears where is best to buy ?
MED look good quality but pricey.
What do you have in your minis ?

Minispares Evo Helical set. All the strength, less of the noise!

On the subject of straight cut gears....
I saw the internals of a swiftune dog box the other day which is Quaife I believe.
The laygear seemed different with the gear spacings.
What's the idea of this, anyone know?

if you mea what I think you do they probably moved stuff around so they could get wider profile gears in there easily.

Dog rings are much narrower than syncro hubs and baulk rings, so the gears can be made wider.
