Heavy duty flywheel puller, complete with bolts for both verto and diaphragm flywheels. Very good condition.

Do you still have it available? I've gone through two of the cheaper versions up to now with a really stubborn flywheel.

Do you still have it available? I've gone through two of the cheaper versions up to now with a really stubborn flywheel.

 

In the early days of Minis, long before anyone but a BMC franchise had a flywheel puller, flywheel removal was usually due to oil on the clutch, and would be done with the engine in situ....as follows.

 

Remove the plugs, the starter and the grill.and hang an 1" round steel bar through the grill with the other end resting through the starter opening, and hit it 3 times with a heavy sledge hammer.

 

Rotate the flywheel about 150 degrees and keep repeating until the taper released.

Brutal and not a good idea these days when Mini parts are no longer cheap as "chips"... you can damage the taper on the crank and or warp the flywheel
