Option for the Netherlands?
My engine and gearbox are rebuilded by Carst and Klaas Span from Miniminded. They race also Mini's on the track. www.miniminded.nl
They did a great job on my engine.

Minisport's in house engineering has a decent reputation, it tends to be the retail side that generates the horror stories. Minispares likely has the best credentials if you're buying from outside the UK.
I don't think you'd pay any duty as it'd be locally produced goods.
Don't forget to factor in any TMF+ discounts

I've had only very poor dealings and experiences with Mini Sport (UK). I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

I have done some shopping around, and intend to do a bit more, but I think I'm better off going local.
