My mk1 LH fuel tank is leaking from the drain fitting.  I have tried various penetrating oils, without much luck.  The threaded fitting is steel and the threaded housing is brass.  Is the brass housing pressed into the tank flange? My next step is to drill the fitting and use an easy out to remove it.  Any other thoughts?

Give the bottom of the tank a couple of coats of good quality paint, with a paint brush on a stick.
