If you're replacing  your indicator stalk on a MK3, or have a  self-cancelling ring around of an old unit, I need one  as mine is broken, has been since I bought my car several years ago, I think because of fitting a removable steering wheel.

Cheers, John

Hi CHris, I think it's different, that would be the the thing that actuates the self cancelling ring. Well I do need one of those, for when I replace the removable steering wheel.

The broken bit is the actuating ring  - it's black and  comes with a new indicator stalk set. You can see its genrtal shape and location here, standing proud on item no. 6, which simply locates in the centre as a separate ring, but isd not fixed with a screw and rotates: http://www.minispare...es.aspx?1~10~92

When the part you show moves, fixed to the column as it is,   it  turns that (loose) actuating ring which then cancels the indicator by returning it to central position... (with some more fancy magic).

Note: I call it an 'actuating ring'.. not sure what others may call it.

ANyway, if you'd tell me what to pay you , and you're willing to part with that piece, I'd have it - to give me peace of mind, standing by for when all is ready to go in.

by the way, You sure have some arcane parts lying around at hand! Most impressed.

The part Chris1275gt is showing is the cancelling ring for a single stalk mk2 and mk3, which is attached to the column.
The indicator stalk you're showing is a mk4 twin stalk one, which is cancelled by two pins in the back of the steering wheel boss.

AH! Thanks a lot for that revelation Imack...  confirms my suspicions.

OK Chris, I'll do without the part you've shown, as it is in fact a Mk2/3, and mine is a Mk4 setup.

Alas no, that's the bush that goes between the inner & outer steering columns.

I can't see you getting the bit you want, except as part of an indicator stalk. It's probably common to other Lucas stalks of the same era.
