I have just recently bought a heated windscreen from MiniSpares, I then received an email saying they did not want to send a windscreen to me due to the risk of it breaking. I had a quick read through their info on this and it says that for them to ship it to me, I had to accept full responsibility for the windscreen during transit.

So I emailed saying that I accepted full responsibility so long as the windscreen was properly packaged......

Well, my windscreen arrived and, to be completely honest, I don't think a 12 gauge shotgun would have been able to damage the windscreen

Top marks from me, obviously went above and beyond with the packaging

Cheers

Tony

Good to hear as I could do with a standard clear laminated one as long as they pack a £48 screen as well as a £162 I`m in.

Do you have any pictures of the packaging? I am interested to see.

I bought a laminated front screen from them for my mk1 and packaging was excellent.

A similar screen from Moss is £230, and their packaging cost is another £84 on top, and then carriage is another £34 on top of that. So MiniSpares is well worth a punt at £150 (with TMF discount) plus £17.50 for next-day courier - and that carriage is for the whole order, not just the windscreen.

MiniSpares do insist that you bear the cost if the courier breaks it. Their packaging is pretty fair, if not up to the standard of Moss's specialist windscreen crate. Breakage would be possible, but they'd really have to try. I ordered yesterday afternoon from MS. My order arrived this morning: the next-day carriage meant the courier only had their hands (and feet) on my screen for less than 17 hours.

Some pics of just how much packing they use...

I received some glass today for my doors and the guys at minispares packaged it brilliantly, so much protection and extra care …
Credit to the team, thanks again minispares.

good to see minispares getting some praise at last :highfive: usually issues around parts when they get mentioned on here!
