Just going to post this up whilst I do some more digging!

1992 SPi, lost hazards and indicators on Saturday morning whilst driving. Everything else on the car still works.

Changed the hazard switch for a new one and the stalks for a spare set I had, still don’t work.

There’s 12v to the flasher and 12v to the relay.

Fuse in the fuse box is good and the inline behind the air filter is good.

Car has a brand new loom which is about 6 weeks old.

What have I missed?

Try changing the relay.

Flasher unit would be most likely, if you're sure the purple/ orange feed to it is live. You could pop it out and test it by putting 12v  across it. It should flash with any load, as it's electronic.

The circuit is,  fuse > flasher > hazard switch > relay (switches indicators on when the ignition is) > indicator stalk.

You can fit the hazard switch upside down, but I think it'd still do something.

Try changing the relay.

Sorry should have said, tried that at the side of the road when it happened, no change.

Well this is getting annoying… had a poke around the in-line fuses over the weekend and managed to get the indicators and hazards back. Just been putting the dash back in and lost them all again ffs.

Does this circuit have its own earth point?

Bloody brand new fuse is the culprit! Swapped it out for a 50 year old Lucas one and everything is flashing like normal now!

Wasted £10 on a hazard switch 🙄🙄🙄🙄
