About 10 years ago I replaced the rack in my 89 RHS

Ever since then I get quite a loud creeking...especially turning right.  Had enough of it.
Sounds like rack rubbing on body on the left side.
I have the u bolt nuts as tight as I dare tighten them.
What material is supposed to be between rack and body (ifanything)....or how else might I address this annoyance?

There should be two Anti Friction strips, part number 21A2553 on the Minispares website.

I haven't got my Haynes manual with me but I am pretty certain the retaining nuts for the rack and pinion box should be done up to a specific torque.
