for that money you'd think they find a blanking piece for the hole in the middle of the switch plate

I'd also be wanting some sort of meaningful heritage, a famous previous owner or some other noteworthy place in history I think

Even if the first digit was a mistake, it's still robbery.

Yep, that suggests it's been on sale since 2015 when it was still a  year from being heritage.  Mind you at that price I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm off to the J D Classics open day on Saturday, I will report back with some eye watering prices which no doubt make that bad boy look like the bargain of the century.

You could fit a blanking plate - probably hasn't got one because people ask serious money for them on Ebay considering they are just a little bit of plastic  - but I guess NLA which is why I suppose.

However shouldn't a 1976 mini have a brake test switch in that hole and also/therefore dual circuit brakes (which this one doesn't) - maybe there was a changeover period when the later switches were used before dual circuit brakes came in?

What a lovely little Mini.

I like that there’s big money being asked for some cars, it helps me justify in my mind the money I’m spending rebuilding mine. Realistically though the panels alone are a substantial cost doing it right and if values are low more cars will be scrapped and not saved. This individual car is clearly overpriced, but any properly rebuilt Mini should be valued into 5 figures, sadly often unlikely but a proper rebuild costs money, even if doing it yourself, simples.

Never seen a Clubman with a round nose before. A rarity I suppose hence the silly price.

The MOT has currently expired but between the last MOT under the previous ownership and the most recent MOT it has covered less than 800 miles. Most likely a very original and decent car and definitely has value. The asking price may be somewhat optimistic though even in the current inflated climate.
