I wonder, when fitting  check arm grommets, I.E. the rubber moulded type found here https://www.minispar...MS.aspx|Back to,  are they supposed to be fixed with a  self tap screw ? I notice a small  hole in the A panel to which it fits. Having merely plamcing it in position  I find it wanders about.

Mine were missing when I took over the car several years back. Cant remember if I removed a screw remaining there,  when preparing for painting.

Cheers John

I bought new ones a few years ago but they were rock hard and the door wouldn't shut so opted for the later close cell foam ones. Much better. You could make your own if you have some closed cell foam soundproofing sheets about.

IIRC mine came with double sided tape on the back, no screws needed.

Stick it onto the A pillar with contact adhesive

Thanks to all for your replies. I do have the rubber ones, not the foam. The door shuts nicely with them on. I've used a self-tapper with large head, not knowing about the wee plug, but I'll get some.
