Cam 4875 Manifold

My only concern is if minispares inlet will fit without fouling against cast iron exhaust manifold.
On Mg Metro was similar arangement( metro alloy inlet and cast iron lcb exhaust).dont know diference in size betwen metro inlet manifold and mini spares one.
Also as you say want to keep noise level as low posible.
Regards
Definitely works.
I wanted the cast iron exhaust for more of a factory look but after using for a few years decided it was too large diameter for a small bore engine so changed to small bore LCB. It'll be fine for yours. The clamps are a pain in the arse and never lasted long before leaking so that was another reason to ditch it.

I have installed Cam 4875(cast iron lcb) manifold on my engine.
Engine spec as follow:
Overbored to 1360 cc, compesion ratio 10.3 , ported and polished head with big valves, evo 001 camshaft.Hif 44 carb and metro electronic distributor.
Is it possible to cut, remove inlet section from manifold and install aloy manifold from minispares C-AHT770,while retaining exhaust part of cast iron manifold.
If yes, can I expect any gain in flow/performance over cast iron one.
Thanks

To answer your question, yes it is possible, but you will probably mulla the inlet side of things, an angry grinder will make short work of it. I'm using something similar on my present build ( MPI version ) as I want to keep as much noise out of the cabin without sacrificing power, good luck it sounds like a decent spec.

it is possible as have done it in the past cut off inlet and grind down exhaust section so alloy inlet sits correctly, mg metro has twin outlet on exhaust manifold so would need exhaust front section too, did this too. did this while still loads in scrappers so parts were really cheap compared to correct performance parts, but to be honest not any quieter than lcb. if its quiet you want do lcb and alloy manifold then use original airbox with k&n filter inside and 2 of 25mm holes infront edge of housing. this is easier and makes more difference as most of the noise is from the air filter not the exhaust

Thanks for info.
My present manifold have twin outlet ,and downpipe with Y joint, and all runing fine.
Anyhow will place order for minispares alloy inlet manifold, at least will look nicer if there is no any significant performance improvement, but I like to try.
Now running with metro air filter casing with standard filter inside, so k&n is next on list.

just be carefull and keep measuring width at top when grinding down to clear inlet and take off only as much as you need for clearance the casting is thin here and easy to go through
