HI all,

So I have been reliably informed that you can increase the Inlet body to 44mm and a HIF44 carb butterfly valve will fit perfectly.

Questions -

1 - Does any body know the tolerances for the bore hole?

2 - What surface finish do I need - Does it need to be honed or just bored?

I have also seen a 45mm inlet body kit with a adjustable fuel pressure regulator avaliable from japan -

Further questions -

1 - does it make any sense to do either of these modifications with a standard head with normal stage one upgrades or should these modifications be done with a stage 3 head???

2 - If done with a stage 3 head will all these modifications be too much for the standard ECU?

I Have a SPI cooper compression spec mini.

Thanks Jason

If you are increasing the size of the throttlebody, without a high flow head and suited cam, all you're doing it slowing down stack velocity and removing torque at low-mid RPM.
