Just out of curiosity, if you stick it in third at about 15mph and then floor it, do you get lots of smoke coming out the back ?
what would that mean Jimmy?

Turbo is knackered/on its way out, if a turbo engine is smoking on start up it 'can' indicate an issue with the turbo IIRC. That little test should show up any issues, is standard turbo car buying procedure to do it (or it was when I was looking at getting something blown)
Black deposits on the plugs could be caused by it burning excessive oil, from the turbo being knackered.
If its the turbo, sticking any additives in it arent going to do much good !
Or as said it could be the mixture

Tried that, but no smoke.. only happens for the first 10 15 minutes. once warm up, its fine..
must be the car running rich. wished i was rich lol
The engines only done 7000 miles since it was done

Ill try the mixture and put some of that petrol in

That could still be the turbo

If the mixture adjustment doesnt fix it, try a post in the turbo forum or on the turbomini site. They will be able to offer a bit more advice on how to check it out.
