Hi all I have a 1973 Mini 1000 and have recently purchased a 1275 1985 metro engine to transplant into it. I have bought a rod type gearbox and the adapter bracket as I have a round tunnel as well as this a starter motor, distributor, ignition coil, radiator and alternator to suit.
What else do I require to make the swap?
Also are my original drive shafts ok to use with the metro engine if I just change the yoke type output flange and put on pot ends instead to couple the drive shafts to the gearbox and are there any other bits I need for the drive shafts to make it work for the rod type gearbox
Are there any parts I need to connect the rod gear selector links to the gearbox?
