Not in my mini, but looks I am on this show on stand with the Ford Sidevalve Owners' Club. With my Dad in his Ford Prefect / passenger.

Anyone else doing this show from here or will just be attending?

I have been on show a few times, on the Unipower GT stand, but we have decided to give it a miss this year, pending getting a few more cars rejuvinated.

Just don't loose your car in the car park!

Good advice, but the car parks all look the same in the dark.

As my brother-in-law trudged from car park to car park, the cars become fewer and fewer, until, around 7.00pm, he spotted his one in a million Audi, only to be unable to find his key.  There was nothing he could do, but get a taxi home to Gloucestershire and another back the next morning, and he wasn't a very happy chappie when got there and his spare key didn't flash the indicators and un-click the doors.

To make matters worse, he looked through the driver's window at the steering column ................ and uttered a lot of naughty words.

Just don't loose your car in the car park!

I've got an app on my phone the solves that problem - Car Find. Leads me straight to my car!!

Its worth checking out the parking charges before attending. I normally arrive by train to avoid paying.

This is from their website;

Parking at the venue is operated and managed by the NEC (not the show).

Pre-booked parking costs £12.95 per car. Paying on-the-day costs £17.95 per car and you could be subject to queuing.

I was there a good few years ago with my Commer Auto-Sleeper on the Commervanfan stand. We were backed onto the Hillman Owners club and they weren't happy with the constant queue winding through their stand to get to our vans, I was hoarse for days afterwards having talked to the visitors without a break. A great show though it proved expensive with Hotels and the stuff.

You could have saved money by sleeping in your van.  No one would have known,.............unless you snore.
