That's a posh mod considering what came out of the factory 😁

I either remove the Oil Separator altogether and plug the timing cover or get a small bore timing cover that doesn't have it.
The one on the Flywheel Housing should well be enough. If you find it's not, then you have much bigger issues !

Look how the engine turned out. Oil oozes everywhere. It only has one breather, the one on top of the clutch cover. Do you think it's enough Spider?

Make sure the exhaust manifold is sealed when you rebuild it too!

I was going to ask if the rocker cover has a breather on it because clearly there's something going on there with a leak isn't there
whether thats caused by pressure build up or what obviously no idea

I think most of that oil down the back is as already said by Gazza82 caused by rocker cover gasket leak and exhaust manifold leakage.
If you block up the TC breather you could revert to a rocker cover breather to add to the clutch cover breather.

The engine runs quite well. Has lost a little compression since being completely rebuilt in 2004 but overall good. It may seem that I don't take care of it or that I have abandoned it but that is not the case. I clean that area with spray from above because I don't have a 'lift' and after three months it is again full of sweaty oil. Every year when I pass the M.O.T they tell me that carter low side and the lower rear part of the engine have that bad appearance. I think internal breathing is bad. And now that I'm going to rebuild it, I'll add 2 more breaths; -Timing cover and rockers cover- and I hope this improves the ventilation a lot.
as Spider alluded to above, if the oil is being forced out of the engine due to crankcase overpressure then you have to address the cause of that rather than just try and mitigate against it by fitting more breathers
as others have said, i'd be taking a close look at the rocker cover seal - what type of gasket are you using ? is it and the surfaces it seals against in good condition ?

Should be ok. They are usually just bashed in locally where the blades would hit.

SPI/MPI breathers have modified covers as std.
Thank you OzOAP

That looks like a very neglected engine, covered in years of grime and detritus - hard to tell if that due to a crankcase breathing issue or not.
Make sure the exhaust manifold is sealed when you rebuild it too!
Thanks for your answer GraemeC
