A stripped one i was watching on e.bay just sold for 1,400 pounds.. no guarantee either. Why are the A+engines costing the same as a whole car with MOT from when I was a younger, more skint mini enthusiast.....

Even the 998 engines are getting fairly good money..

I would suggest contacting local clubs. Sure someone somewhere local will have some stashed away in a garage for the just incase sinario.

Price of 1275 & 998 engines has gone up since the Mini and Metro disappeared from breakers yards and production ended. As the numbers available drop the price goes up due to supply and demand....
