Mpi Starter Motor Problem
Best Answer Dave S , 22 November 2023 - 02:11 PM
Got there at last, convinced myself it was a wiring fault, proved all the wiring and relays to be perfect.
Fault was to the starter motor, removed the motor and took it to a local motor factors for testing, the solenoid was not working.
They had a new one on the shelf, now fitted and engine started.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

sounds like a relay click behind the instrument dash, headlights don't dim.

Key switch would be my first suspect. Unfortunately, it may connect for a multi meter, but not under load. shorting the appropriate terminals on the back of the switch would confirm.
