What Are These Hub-Caps?

Best Answer copilotChewie , 04 February 2024 - 01:16 PM

Hey,

These look like they could be Innocenti, they look like those on our MK1 Innocenti 850.

My project-Mk2 came with five good hub-caps (yay!) but on closer looks two of them are different and no amount of "persuasion" will get them to fit (boo!) Shame, because they're in outstanding condition - hardly a scratch on them.

Anyone know what these are off, please? They have square-ish holes - but not as square as the early Mk1 type. A proper Mk2 (with triangular holes - and as normal a fair few dents) is in the pics for comparison.

Thanks for the idea, but Imp seems to be 12" wheels. These caps are for 10" and look sooo similar to the Mini ones. They're just too tight to clip onto the lugs on Mini wheels.

I had something similar on a 1970 998.

Somerford says 21A156, '60 to '61

The one on the right could be  21A462, '61 to '75

I remember most being the 2 part ring & cap, from a few years before Somerford claim.

Could be something totally random like a bubble car as some of those used 10inch wheels

Thank you. Looks like you're bang on, there. Here's another Innocenti on carandclassic with a close-up, even showing the detail of those two little holes in them. https://www.carandcl....com/l/C1604110

Now I know what they are, I'll pop them on ebay.

Seems weird that the fitment is different, though. I imagine anyone who fits Mini hub-caps onto an Innocenti quickly loses them because they'll be so loose.
