One Carb Or Two?

Is it normal that the Mk1/2 boot handle will protrude so far into the boot? This is the saloon, van and estate version, not the longer one used on the woody, the boot is an open back Mk2 boot.

There is a back plate to go on.. but you are maybe right,. Maybe needs cut down..

Possibly from a woody estate to get passed the wood frame.
