Im pretty sure someone asked about this recently and the reply was that it had been previously advertised for £25k, but I cant find the thread now.

I wouldn't say it is that over priced, looks tidy, but might not be very drivable.

the styling isn't my cup of tea but it looks clean and the engine spec certainly sounds good to me, at the very least a lot of time and effort has gone into it

shame there's no carpet or back seats though, and isn't there supposed to be a rear numberplate light, by law?  maybe that's only required of certain ages onwards ?

surprised no-ones been along yet to be angry about the definition of cafe racer...

Love the styling, proper cool cafe racer vibe.

Easily cost more than that to build, people who scream over priced clearly have those rose tinted goggles on, it’s no longer 1999.

It might have been me on the mk1 forum-
I love the spec, but no carpets or door cards etc will be a pain after half an hour-im not spending 20 k on it but might put in an offer-just thought that someone might know something about it on here
I’m after a decent mk 1/2/3 fast road mini, has to be 1275 or bigger

It's nicely done and, as said above, it would have cost a lot to restore to that standard.

For a nice road car all it needs is a decent set of carpets and a set of interior trim. The trim is easy to fit in a Mk.1. Maybe around £500 for trim/carpets and it's good to go on long trips.

Alternatively, with a roll-cage and some comp seats it would make a great hill-climb, sprint or historic rally car.

It’s the engine spec that does it for me-exactly what I’m looking for-
I’ll be in touch with the seller soon
Not a fan of car and classic-can’t send personal details apparently, they want you to pay the money into an escro account and pay the seller separately!!
I’m ******* if I’d ever do that-I want to be in the sellers house, with the car outside and I transfer the money and take the car away-no other way it’s ever happening for me.!!

I have bought and sold on car and classic and I believe you are wrong.

It’s true Car and classic have changed the website since the early days, and there is now “log in to offer” option. But as far as I know, as long as it’s not an auction, which this ad isn’t, you just phone the seller, there’s is no escrow involved, it’s just a straightforward traditional private sale.

Please report back if this isn’t the case.

Saw this on the mk1-forum as well, it's basically what my Mk1 would be like if I had a spare 5 figure sum of cash to throw at it. Worth the money considering the build cost, and as also mentioned, fitting things like interior trim isn't exactly tricky for a new owner if that's what they want. Very cool car.

My Cayman S was written off just before Christmas,I’ve decided to get back to a classic mini, I still regret selling the one in my profile pic. The 65 mini ticks a lot of boxes for me , but 20 grand is a little out of budget-
I’ll see what the seller says about a deal.
