Hi all.

Can anyone confirm where the rest position of the Choke cam should be, when choke is fully in.

Either.
1. Arrow lined up with idle screw
Or
2. At its physical resting place which the arrow head is lower than the idle screw.

Reason for the question is because the Hif44 carb will not Rev past 2500 Rev and I’m trying to eliminate this.

Thanks

It should rest at the physical resting place. see this AC Dodd's video from about 6m 50 seconds.

Useful to look from the other cable end too. Once it's setup, the amount you want to have the choke knob pulled out while it warms up is  to point the arrow at the screw. That's the point where you get idle increase without enrichment.
